Judd Foundation

Brand guidelines, stationery, website, and communication materials

Judd Foundation’s mission is to maintain and preserve the permanently installed living and working spaces, libraries, and archives of the artist Donald Judd. Judd was one of the most significant artists and critics of the 20th century, producing artwork and writings of extraordinary power and concentration. Working closely with Judd Foundation, Remake created a new stationery system, a multitude of printed pieces, an expansive color palette, a rigorous set of typographic and grid systems, photographic style direction, and a refreshed website. These many facets of the institutional identity were detailed and demonstrated in a comprehensive identity guidelines document. Drawing inspiration from both general principles and specific aspects of Judd’s art, furniture, and architecture the identity now reflects the precision, scope, and fundamental quality of Judd’s vision.
